Apple Supports Student Video Contest on Freedom
Posted June 17th, 2008 by phoffmanThe National Underground Railroad Freedom Center is teaming up with Apple, to provide college students across the United States with the opportunity to share how they define freedom. Teams of college students can create and submit a short video (3 minutes or less) expressing the qualities, importance, and impact of freedom in their lives, today.
Through their submissions, students will connect with people around the world to share their ideas about Freedom and become facilitators in a very important, global dialogue concerning some of society’s most critical issues. Creating Freedom Awareness—at a time when we need it most—is, perhaps, the 21st Century’s greatest challenge.
Roadtrip Nation
Posted June 19th, 2007 by ngraySo what do you want to do with your life?
The Roadtrip Nation (RTN) Movement was born from this question, and the idea that hitting the road to meet with inspirational leaders from all walks of life could help people discover their own paths in life. Started by a group of recent college grads whose life-changing roadtrip set this all in motion, Roadtrip Nation has evolved into a National PBS Series, student roadtrip movement on over 400 colleges, three books and a growing online network at roadtripnation.com. Whatever the medium, our goal is to help people discover their own roads in life based on individuality, passion and exploration.
